Dopo il post sui cactus e le succulente (che vi avviso avrà un seguito venerdì), mi sono messa a tavolino per progettare meglio le zone green di casaGI. Appena torneremo delle vacanze mi dedicherò al giardinaggio controllando le talee in idrocoltura, le succulente da trapiantare, i semi da interrare e i vasi da comprare.

A proposito dell’acquisto dei vasi, vorrei parlarvi di Stella Baggott aka Atelier Stella che ho scoperto tempo fa su Instagram. Stella è una straordinaria artista della ceramica e mi sono immediatamente innamorata delle sue creazioni.

Fondato nel 2012, Atelier Stella è una collezione di ceramiche in continua evoluzione. Le creazioni di Stella sono magnifici pezzi unici realizzati a Brighton, Inghilterra.

“Il mio lavoro è moderno, elegante e porta allegria. Progetto con amore, costruisco, e smalto a mano ogni pezzo i miei piccoli lotti di oggetti. Un lavoro vicino all’arte quindi se vi piace un pezzo afferralo fino a che è possibile! “

Le ispirazioni di Stella? La Cornovaglia, i ceramisti italiani e svedesi degli anni ’50 e ’60 e il rustico mixato al contemporaneo. Stella (che ha un passato da Illustratrice) realizza i prodotti da lastre di argilla e raramente produce lo stesso pezzo due volte.

Dirvi qual’è il mio preferito è davvero difficile perché sono tutti meravigliosi. Adoro i vasi lunghi con strisce e piedini e tutti le ceramiche bianche (l’ideale in casa mia), ma il suo amore per i toni dell’azzurro e del menta rendono la scelta davvero ardua.

After yesterday’s post on cacti and Succulents (I will later on Wednesday), I started to redesign the green areas of my house. Just back of the holidays I will dedicate to gardening by checking the scions in hydroponics, the succulent to be transplanted, the seeds and the pots to buy. Talking about the purchase of pots, I’d like you to meet Stella Baggott aka Atelier Stella that I discovered long ago on Instagram. Stella is an amazing artist and I instantly fell in love with her creations. Founded in 2012, Atelier Stella is an evolving collection of ceramics. Stella’s creations are magnificent pieces made in Brighton, England.

“My work is modern, stylish and brings a smile! I lovingly design, hand build, fire in my kiln and glaze small batches of work to give you a truly unique, one of a kind work of art, so if you like a piece grab it while you can!”

She is influenced by Cornish, Italian and Swedish potters from the 50’s and 60’s, mixing the rustic use of patterns with the frivolity of character. Stella (which has a past as a Illustrator) built her pots from slabs of clay and didn’t produces the same piece twice. Tell you what is my favorite is so hard because they are all wonderful. I love the long pots with stripes and legs and all white pottery (prefect in my house), but her love for the tones of blue and Mint make the choice very difficult.
